The following obit for Nellie appeared in the January 16, 1964 Winchester Star:

Mrs. Nellie Gertrude Broy, 73, of Berryville, died yesterday in the Winchester Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Broy was born Jan. 28, 1890, in Clarke County, daughter of the late P. W. and Anna Alexander Stickle. She was the widow of John W Broy.

She is survived by five children: Mrs. Velma Deavers, Mrs. Louise Duke, Mrs. Dorothy Grubbs, Mrs. Frances Thompson, William O Broy, Alfred W Broy, Robert R Broy, and James H Broy, all of Clarke County; and Mrs. Anna Mallory of Front Royal; and 20 grand-children and nine great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM at the John H Enders Funeral Home in Berryville by the Rev. Daniel Dickenson and the Rev. Robert Moore. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.
