SALLIE HOWARD (BROY) MCDONALD (1883-1946)

The following obit for Sallie appeared in the Courier:

The funeral of Mrs. Sallie Howard Broy McDonald, 63, who died Saturday morning at 2:55 at her home on the Page Brook Farm in this county, was conducted Monday morning from her late residence at 11 o'clock, by the Rev. E.T. Clark of Winchester. Interment was in the Green Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. McDonald was the widow of Jarrett McDonald and was born in Clarke County April 12, 1883, a daughter of Mrs. Sallie Howard Locke Broy and the late Charles Lewis Broy.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by four children: Mrs. Audrey Longerbeam and Maitland McDonald of this county, and Malcomb and Harley McDonald of Berryville. She is also survived by four sisters: Mrs. Lewis McDonald, Mrs. Everett Moore, Mrs. Cleave Moore and Mrs. Deward Smallwood, and three brothers, Charles Lacy Broy, John W Broy and Elias Broy. Nine grandchildren also survive.
