Age 33 - The 1850 Census [Virginia > Clarke > District 12 > 28] (shows Henry as 58 and his wife Elizabeth is 33. Henry is working as a cooper. There is no listing for property value. A Nancy Bolen (age 70, ) was living in the house along with the following children: Harriet (age 11), Joseph H. (age 8), Thomas W. (age 5), Michael (Age 3), and Nancy J. (10 mos.)

Age 63 - In the 1880 U.S. Cenus for Clarke County - Henry Stickles (age 89) and his wife Elizabeth (age 62) are living together with their son Thomas (age 37). Elizabeth's daughter Harriet Jones (age 39) is widowed and living with her children James Jones (age 6) and Rachel Jones (age 3). Thomas's wife Maggie (age 28) and two of his children Lola Lee (age 2) and Charles C (age 1 mo)
