Simon married on the same day as his brother Joseph A Stickel and they both married two sisters Effa and Mary Hoff.

I have Simon's birth as July 10, 1859 in Loudoun County from "Clarke County Virginia Marriages 1865-1890" by D. A. Buck, pg 91.
