The following obit for Ida appeared in the January 9, 1992 Courier:

Ida Stickel Leake, 75, of Main Street, Berryville, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, in her home. Mrs. Leake was born Aug. 25, 1916 in Clarke County, the daughter of the late Clay and Katie Broy Stickel. She was the retired owner of Leake's Grocery in Berryville and the wife of the late Roy Garfield Leake.

Surviving are a son, Bobby Leake, of Berryville; two sisters, Rose Gardner and Marie Stickel, both of Berryville; and one granddaughter. A funeral was held Saturday at Enders Funeral Home in Berryville with Rev. William E Ingram presiding.

Pallbearers were: O.C. Gardner, Mickey Jones, Cecil Moore, Marvin Painter, Richard Tavenner and Raymond Chapman. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to John H Enders Rescue Squad in Berryville.
