FLETA STICKLE (1918-1974)

The following obit for Fleta appeared in the February 28, 1974 local newspaper:

Mrs. Fleta Carter Stickel, 55, of Route 6, Winchester, died Monday night in the Winchester Hospital. She was the wife of Edward Clinton Stickel who survives. Mrs. Stickel was born May 29, 1918 in Clarke County, a daughter of Mrs. Katie Stickel and the late Olivia Clay Stickel.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother are the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Rosa Gardner, Miss Marie Stickel, Mrs. Ida Leake, Charles Stickel and John E Stickel, all of Berryville.

A funeral service will be conducted today at 2 PM at the John H. Enders Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Moore. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery
