EDWARD CLINTON STICKLE (1913-1983)

The following obit for Edward appeared in the January 27, 1983 Courier:

Edward Clinton Stickle, 69, of Winchester, died Saturday at the Newton D Baker Veteran's Center in Martinsburg, WV. A funeral service was held Wednesday at 2 PM at the Enders Funeral Home in Berryville with the Rev. Robert Royal officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.

Mr. Stickel was born June 14, 1913 in Clarke County, a son of the late Mose and Virginia Tomblin Stickel. He was married to the late Freda Carter Stickel and was retired from National Fruit. Surviving are two brothers, Mose Stickel and Harvey Stickel, both of Berryville; a sister, Sarah Brown Crim of Baltimore, Md. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers were Paul Puffinburger, James Braithwaite, John E Stickel, Edgar Riggleman, Albert Nicodemus and Michael Wood.
