[Soon after Simon Michael's birth Thomas's first wife probably died. Thomas likely gave Simon Michael to his parents to raise and a few years later he married Maggie and had more children with her. However, Simon Michael can not be found in any census reports prior to 1900. Simon Michael's death certificate shows Henry as the parents but they more likely just raised him. -- Vernon Wilson]
