Obituary

James Edward Pyne, Jr., 68, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Pyne was born February 5, 1941, in Clarke County, Virginia, the son of James Edward Pyne, Sr. and Amelia Johnson Pyne. He was a warehouse supervisor for a furniture manufacturer.

He served in the U. S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Winchester American Legion, Stephens City Moose Lodge, and the Winchester Elks Lodge. Surviving is his wife, Sarah Juanita Pyne who he married on May 31, 1969 in Charles Town, West Virginia.

A sister and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M., Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Rev. Hubert Plummer officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, with military honors provided by Winchester VFW Post 2123.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Ritter, Jimmy Swisher, Gary Taylor, Nelson Ritter, Timmy Penwell, and Brian Reid.

Military honors will be provided by Winchester VFW Post 2123.

The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 P. M., Friday evening at the Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
