Comments: Name may have been Frederick Paige Nichols
From Paige's Obituary in "The Bloomer Advance" dated Thursday 23 March 1916. Page F. Nichols - one of the early Chippewa county pioneers, passed away at the home of his son, Charles Nichols, on Monday, after an illness of two weeks. Death was due to hardening of the arteries. Mr. Nichols was 86 years old. He has resided in Tillinghast for over 33 years the greater part of which time he resided upon the old Nichols farm now owned by his son in law, N.E. Snow. Mrs. Nichols died thirteen years ago. He is survived by two sons and two daughters as follows: Ben Nichols, who lives in Colorado, Charley Nichols of Sand Lake, Mrs. Livingston, who lives near Elk Mound and Mrs. N.E. Snow of Tillinghast. Besides these there are twenty grand children and eight great grand children. The funeral was held at the Tillinghast school house yesterday afternoon, Rev. F. W. Heberlein officiating. Interment was made in the Lakeville Cemetery. END
The transcription of the Tillinghast Cemetery done by George Taylor in 2009, shows Paige Nichols and his wife Sarah buried at Tillinghast Cemetery.

From Sarah's obituary in "The Bloomer Advance" dated Thursday 18 June 1903. - Mrs. P.F. Nichols of Tillinghast died at her home on Saturday evening after an illness of some six weeks duration. Mrs. Nichols whose maiden name was Ford (error) was born in Newburyport Mass in 1833, hence she was seventy years old. She came west in the early days and for a great many years she has resided on the place at Tillinghast where she died. The life of Mrs. Nichols is naught but a sweet story. Endowed with a matchless sweetness of character, a big, kind and loving heart and a sincerity and purity of life, she has endeared herself to everyone who knew her. Her life is a worthy example of true womanhood, wife-hood and mother-hood. A husband and four children are left to mourn her death. Of the children two are well known to our readers - Charles Nichols and Mrs. N.E. Snow both of Tillinghast. The funeral was held from the residence on Monday afternoon, Rev. H. Meyer of Auburn officiating, assisted by Rev. W.H. Short of this Village. All will join with the ADVANCE in expressions of sympathy to the sorrowing husband and children and to the neighbors and friends who will feel so keenly the departure from life of this grand, good woman. END
The transcription of the Tillinghast Cemetery done by George Taylor in 2009 shows Sarah L. and her husband Paige F. both buried at Tillinghast Cemetery.
