Mary Elizabeth Johnson, 95, of Berryville, died Wednesday, March 22, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Oct 25, 1899, in Clarke County the daughter of the late Peach and Juanita Tumblin Huff. She was a housewife.

She married Louis Rush Johnson on July 2, 1919, in Berryville. He predeceased her on Nov. 2, 1962.

Surviving are six daughters, Dorothy Collis, Amelia Pyne and Nila Linster, all o Berryville, Elaine Sobus, Kathleen Campbell and Doris Jowanna, all of Baltimore, Md; three sons, Leonard Johnson and Paul Johnson, both of Winchester and James Johnson of Alexandria; two step-daughters Mabel Ray of Nottingham, Pa and Lillian Muir of Baltimore, two sisters, Nila Shocky of Berryville and Beulah Gray of Boyce; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Three sons and one daughter, Earl Johnson, Rush Johnson, Jerry Johnson and Addie Goulaski, predeccascd her.

The funeral was on Saturday, March 25, at Enders Funeral Home, conducted by Rev Kathleen Ross. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville. Memorial contribution may be made to John H. Enders Rescue Squad, 9 S. Buckmarsh St., Berryville, Va. 226l1.
