Obituary

Roger Eugene Holder Jr. was born in Fairfax County, Va. to parents Roger "Eugene" Sr. and Amy on November 19, 1931. Roger had a beloved sister, Helen. He graduated from High School in Herndon, Va. and joined the U.S. Air Force as a flight engineer on C124 transport aircraft.

Roger was in Management with United Airlines Aircraft maintenance at Newark New Jersey, retiring in 1988. He is survived by Rachel, his wife of 57 years; son, Kenneth in Chantilly, Va.; son, Jeffrey and his wife Doreen; and granddaughters, Amanda and Courtney, all in Hazlet, N.J.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and sister. Roger enjoyed his second home in Jackson Hole, Wyo. surrounded by the beautiful Grand Tetons and his favorite fishing holes. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday October 15, 2011 at the Palm Springs United Methodist Church at 1555 East Alejo Road in Palm Springs.

A memorial fund in memory of Roger E. Holder will endow the Cornerstone Church Maintenance Fund to keep the physical plant always in good repair.
