Age 79 - OBITUARY
GEORGE ELLIS COSTELLO, 79, of Summit Point, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family while under the care of Hospice.
Born July 4, 1932 in Summit Point, he was the son of the late George W. Costello and Edith Gertrude (Tomlin) Costello.
Mr. Costello was a member of Manning Assembly of God Church.
He was the owner of the George Street 76 Service Station in Charles Town (retired) and was a member of the Moose Lodge 948.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Naomi R. (Woodard) Costello; one son, Ellis Miller Costello, of Charles Town; four daughters, Crystal Thurston of Leetown, Karen Dunlap, of Berryville, VA, Naomi R. Cook, of Rocksboro, NC, and Donna J. Colvin, of Front Royal, VA; eight grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude V. Trussle, of Ranson, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a two grandchildren, Ellis Miller Costello, Jr., and Tonya Marie Shreve, two brothers, Charles W. and Kenneth Gene Costello, one sister, Eleanor C. Wiley.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2012 Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with the Rev. James R. T. Boyce officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Chapel in Inwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bank of Charles Town, in care of Naomi R. Costello, PO Box 906, Charles Town, WV 25414.
